Open invitation to pirates everywhere (from your friendly neighborhood bounty hunter)

So I'll be honest, I'm getting desperate.

I love Bounty Hunting, it's what I prefer to do in game. I like the purely combat aspect of the job, I like that its going to take a long time to get my next ship (10 million with an A grade Viper and that Python is still so very far away..) and I like holding the smug moral high ground of being 'one of the good guys'. I don't grief people, I don't steal cargo and I like to see traders going their merry way - I occasionally even say 'Hi!' to them as they zip past and (mostly) ignore me. But that's cool, its a dangerous galaxy.

What I don't like is that try as I might, earning a crust and getting a thrill from BHing lately seem to be two different things. The joy of killing yet another AI pirate lord in his Anaconda is the main way to earn cash, fair enough, but it gets somewhat boring after 20 or so and I really want to find some genuine pirates out there who deserve a good chase and a fine fight. Frontier, bless them, have made finding fellow CMDR's a difficult task and this goes equally for the wanted ones too. I don't have the foggiest where the real pirates are out there and its a big galaxy.

Of course it's naturally anathema for any pirate to knowingly give his location to a Bounty Hunter, granted, but until FD decide to allow CMDR bounty hunting missions with rough locations and crimes committed then my only option is just this - asking nicely.

And lets be honest all, you want the chase really There are far easier ways to earn cash in ED than pirating, but you love that thrill of finding a target, getting your ill gotten goods, and living with a bounty. Some wear your bounty like a badge of honor, which is great (for someone like me). You play this game for fun and I salute you for it...so why not spice it up a bit?

This is my call to you all, gentlemen pirates of the ED universe, to invite yourself to tell us your location. Or just me, via PM, if you're (understandably) not entirely happy with the whole community knowing. Rest assured that I will be tracking you down and attempting to depressurize your ship as soon as the wife allows (Even the galaxies Bounty Hunters live in fear of upsetting the greatest pirate of all. One bounty I'll never collect.)

Same here. It's hard enough to find CMDRs with a bounty and when you finally do track one down, there's a 95% chance of him diconnecting before you can kill him.

Go and hang around the busier rare commodity starports, plenty of pirates there.

I don't have the foggiest where the real pirates are out there and its a big galaxy.

They're in Anarchy space, where bounties never happen in the first place.

Unfortunately the bounty mechanic is a little bit broken right now with regards to PvP-oriented bounty hunting, as there is no bounty applied to crimes committed in the places where crime actually happens, unless you happen to run across a pirate who has been doing crimes in controlled space on purpose for whatever reason and not paying it off.

I assume they're looking at some kind of change to provide more of a penalty for serial-killer style players who hunt other CMDR for the sake of just fighting and killing (or if not a "penalty" since those people enjoy PvP, at least an incentive for bounty hunters to even bother with them), but currently hunting the real player criminals is hardly a part of the game at all.

Find an independent system that supplies some kind of rare goods, and got a bit of traffic. Say at least 1000 player visits a day. It is a magnet to robbers like myself.

Though robbers like myself either got a really low bounty, due to some aversion from actually killing those we steal from, or is clean from paying off the tiny fine. Part of doing business - and not get interrupted by the law all the time when out on the prowl. Hell, even I'd like to catch some player-killer and collect.

I make my credits any way I can, just as long as I don't need do much more trade-runs, it's fine by me.

I pirate in Eravate. Check the top 5 bounties list. Out of 8 BH attempts I killed 4, 1 is still floating there, 2 escaped and 1 got me to 70% hull before I escaped. You are more than welcomed to try. It's quite easy to spot me.
btw my bounty is almost 800k and comes purely from pirating humans (ehm, mainly those who didn't want to pay up...).

And of course... I guarantee no logoffski and I expect the same.

Just know I am a pirate, not a fighter or some valiant knight I make sure I stay safe and I activately scan people in my vicinity in SC for their loadouts. If I see someone beefed up while hunting I drop out of SC and jump to another system to stay safe. You will have to come up with some trickery against me Don't except just to come there, interdict me and shoot me to pieces. But hey, I guess you as a proper bounty hunter already know your trade well enough and I don't have to tell you this
