Open letter to the Imperial Senate members from The LOSP

Eminent members of the Imperial Senate,

You are not unaware of the events that took place in front of the entire Galaxy at the end of the year 3302.

We will still recall them.

On 20 August 3302, the Senator and Admiral Denton Patreus was the victim of an assassination attempt while delivering a speech aboard Mackenzie Relay in the Cemiess system.

Commander Salomé, leader of the Children of Raxxla, whom you know better under the name of Dame Kahina Tijani Loren, was convicted of this incident on 19 September 3302 following a botched investigation of which no element was made public.
Shortly before her arrest, Cmdr Salomé had indicated that the regions of Formidine Rift, Conflux and Hawking's Gap were all linked to wrecks discovered in the Pleiades.

On November 17, 3302, the Federal Department of Astrocartography launched a public offer to collect exploration data for these three regions. On the same date, the Children of Raxxla issued the same public offer. The issue was clear to everyone: that the truth be made of the involvement of Dame Kahina Tijani Loren in the assassination attempt against Senator Denton Patreus by bringing exculpatory evidence at her which while the trial was still in progress.
The change of jurisdiction during the procedure would not have been inconsequential since the new court of justice in charge of the procedure, the Court of Justice of the Prism system, finally declared Cmdr Salome guilty of the charges against her, before the conclusion of the public call for tenders, the results of which could have tipped the trial.

The public tender was concluded when Dame Kahina Tijani Loren was transferred to the Koontz Asylum prison in the Daibo system in a guarded convoy, at least that is what the Galaxy could have expected from of the Empire as the convoy was the victim of a murderous attack destroying all the ships composing it and killing both the crews and the prisoners. We were then on November 25, 3302. It must nevertheless be remembered that the convoy was well armed and had an Imperial Cutter, a ship reputed to be one of the most solid in the Empire.
No bodies were found on the scene, nor even the black boxes of the ships.

The only more or less official reaction was that of one of your eminent members, the Princess Aisling Duval. And his public intervention was not to deplore this loss, nor even to announce an inquiry, but rather to forget the whole affair.

On December 23, 3302, the public call for tenders came to its conclusion, announcing with it the crushing victory of the allies and supporters of the Children of Raxxla, thus demonstrating that the whole Galaxy wants light to be made on all this case.
The Imperial Senate must now assume its responsibilities. Indeed, the Empire can not allow a demonstration to be made of his weakness by leaving unpunished an attack on one of his convoys of prisoners, nor can it ignore the will of the majority to know the truth about the Salomé case.

That is why we are addressing you and asking you to set up an independent commission of inquiry as soon as possible, with representatives from the Children of Raxxla, SMAC, Paladins, Loren's Legion, ALD, Da Vinci Corp, Winged Hussars, Chapterhouse Inquisition, 9th Legion, Aislings Angels and LYR, Exo, TIIQ and the LOSP must take place, and these factions must have full access to the entire investigation. Public communication of these elements should be at this price.

Not to take this legitimate request into consideration would be an admission of weakness of the Empire in front of the Galaxy as much as the demonstration of its contempt for the peoples.

From the LOSP, by Alex Ringess, Ambassador.

May I ask where the evidence for Salomes innocence are?
It's been sometime now since a lot of independent CMDRs provided a lot of scan data and information based on the promise of unveiling the truth. It's time for CoR to deliver those evidences, those promised revelations and proof that their claims are more than just assumptions.

It's time that CoR finally starts to provide hard facts.

The evidences of the guilty or innocence of the Cmdr Salomé are in the hands of the Empire at this time. Its time for the Empire to publicize that. And its time to the Empire to investigate publicaly about the attack of this prisoners convoy. We all deserve the truth.

CoR requested scan data and promised that the data will show the innocence of Salome and/or "the truth". CoR has all the data independent CMDRs collected for them. If CoR now tells us that they don't have any evidence about the guilt or innocence of Salome, then they lied to the galactic community. Lied about their motivations, their intentions and the reason for the appeal for scan data.

While I think it's in the interest of the Empire to show the evidence of Salomes guilty - if that evidence exists - and to investigate the destruction of the convoy that lead to the apparent death of Salome and others (other convicts and crew members), it doesn't free CoR to deliver what they promised.

And the Empire still not sent this elements. That's the main reason why LOSP decided to publish this open letter.

For the rest, the things uncovered during the exploration CG, it was published step by step as each elements was uncovered during the CG in this Forum and you can access to it as anyone.

As far as I know, CoR didn't uncovered any new elements.

CoR made a public call for scan data.
CoR claimed it would show the innocence of Salome.
CoR has the scan data the CMDRs provided them.
CoR has not provided the informations they claimed the survey will show.

The Children of Raxxla, an organisation operating out of the HR 6421 system, has issued an urgent request for exploration data. The request follows news that the group's leader, Salomé, has been found guilty of the attempted assassination of Denton Patreus.

"We believe the exploration data may be pertinent to the case against Salomé." said a Children of Raxxla representative. "We are convinced the accusations against her can be disproved, but only if we have sufficient evidence."

"We know Salomé undertook a quest to the Formidine Rift and other locales, and we urgently need data from Hawkin's Gap, the Conflux and the Formidine Rift. The navigation codes for these areas are PLAA AEC IZ-N C20-1, PRU AESCS DL-W C15-37 and EAFOTS EU-R C4-1. We're looking for stellar scans, planet information and any and all anomalies."

The informations you talk about was uncovered by all the pilots involved in this CG, not only the CoR, and it was published here, in this forum.
You don't have these elements because you didn't read the right threads (the one related to the Formidine Rift Expedition, for example).

On the other hand, the elements related to the Salomé's trial are still in the hands of the court of justice of Prism and the court of justice of Achenar.
There are the elements the LOSP want the Empire make public. They are not, at this time.

CMDRs found strange satellites and decoded the messages these beacons send.
That information didn't reveal anything that had a direct connection to Salome and the question if she is/was innocent or guilty.

CoR didn't provide any results of their analysis of the provided data.
CoR didn't provide any prove that Salome is/was innocent even if they claimed the scan data will show her innocence.

(out of character: I'm aware that there is a bug that prevents the progress of the story. When I use CoR I mean the in-game faction used by FD for the story not the player group. It's problematic since FD uses the player group while the player group can't really provide any information since they depend on FD on anything lore and story related)

CoR haven't the same resources as the department of astrocartography of the Federation. I guess these datas are investigate at this time and will be make public by the CoR as soon as they'll have the result of that work, even the elements undercover gave the evidence of the Salomé's guilty, which I doubt, personnaly.

...Considering I am the next door neighbor of the CoR I have to ask HOW. THE EVERLOVING . DID THAT HAPPEN?

I was under the impression that all data was being delivered directly to the CoR home system. 15LY from Hellrazer space.

The current disagreements between the HEF and the Imperial Slavers Association was that prior to HEF control of the system, The Allied Movement, former Dictators of 'Underworld', was currently running a smuggling ring that involved the movement and usage of Imperial Slaves in the system.

Not regular slaves.

Imperial Slaves.

Imperial Law dictates that Imperial Slaves are not to be removed from Imperial Space. Imperial Slaves are not to be removed from Imperial Controlled systems.

The ISA is upset that Imperial Slaves were found in 'Underworld' by the HEF Marines 200LY from the closest Imperial System.

Geographically, the Empire has no controlled systems in CoR space because Federation Space is squarely between the Empire and the Independent block that CoR currently make home.

And last I checked, there is no minor faction that pledges to the Empire within 100LY because they would be cut off and surrounded by both Independants who want nothing to do with any Major power and the Federation itself.

So how the hell, that the only copy of the data that was in DIRECT POSSESSION of the CoR, wind up in the hands of the Empire?

That tells me one of two things.

Ether you're mistaken and trying to shift the focus away from the CoR who are still in possession of the very data they requested, (and I still fail to see how the hell data of the Formine Rift is going to prove the innocence of the CoR leader on orchestrating an assassination attempt other then to provide an alibi of her location at the time of the attack) or the CoR is being lead by very poor leadership in which case the HEF will have to prepare for a counterstrike in the event of a mindless aggression swarm scenario. I would suggest the LOSP do the same rather then supporting a headless swarmmind.

As of this moment, the CoR would be required to release the data they have collected (which they have not done) and demonstrate how it conflicts with and throws doubt into the story constructed by the Empire of Patreus's attempted assassination by Cmdr Salomé herself.

Until such time that an alternate story that clarifies Cmdr Salomé whereabouts and intentions leading up to and during the attack is released by CoR. The Empire is under no obligation to launch any sort of inquiry into their own affairs.

The Federation certainly wouldn't bother with any such call if no conflicting evidence was presented.

As no conflicting evidence was presented and the CoR are lightyears from Imperial Space, I fail to see how the Empire could have come into possession of the data that was delivered exclusively to CoR themselves and be held responsible for something they don't have.

As far as the Hellrazers are concerned, there is no conflicting evidence to the Empire's claims so this call to action will not be supported.

The HEF has their own issues with the ISA to resolve over the matter of impending 'Sactions' against Underworld and the possibility of Imperial Aggression over the matter of their... property as they keep telling us.

In the same vein I have to keep listening to woes of the FAD detachment present in the HEF about how they don't have enough data to conduct their experiments with and moaning about the papers they won't get to publish. Efforts would have been better spent by pilots helping the FAD and by extension me so I don't have to listen to the whining of scientists.

Worse then Flashbang training.

To that vein, I have to wonder how many of those groups listed are actually aware of the rather... gaping hole in the logic you've created here.

You claim that the Empire has the data and needs to publish the results so that they can find a person they have accused of treason innocent.

i have provided evidence that such a claim is false because the data was delivered to the CoR personally and the Empire is over 300 LY from where the data was turned in. It is geographically impossible for the Empire to be in possession of data they would not possess because of where it was turned in at.

So unless you're aware of the CoR disclosing the data to the Empire in secret, making a public spectacle over an impossibility is a strategic blunder of the highest caliber. Because I would require evidence that said data was transferred to the Empire. In that vein, if you want public support over an open letter, let's see the data that was transferred so I can agree with you and put public pressure on the Empire.

The only thing we are asking for is a public inquiry about the attack of the prisonners convoy.
Of course, the Empire haven't any obligation to do that, I agree. But considering how the events took place, everybody now have the right to know the truth about all this affair.
Aisling Duval tryed to put all of that in the dungeons of History in a non official speech comptemptuous, as her words was reported (she never made any official declaration about that).

I wonder how a well armed imperial convoy could be destroyed in that way, with no trace of any kind, no bodies, no black boxes, etc... in the imperial space ?

Everyone in the Galaxy deserve to know the truth about that, and having a hand on the investigation. Its not only an imperial affair, its a public affair.

And yes, I assume the Empire have the elements of the guilty or the innocence of the Cmdr Salomé in his hand, and never made it public. We deserve to know all about this case too.

A short word from the Consul of Children of Raxxla.

Regarding the latest GalNet propaganda report https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/585d00529657baca3ca08309

In response to the accusations made by the Federation, Empire and GalNet itself for not revealing the findings from the exploration data gained through their latest appeal, the Children of Raxxla have made a short statement.

“The Children of Raxxla will publish the results in due time.” A spokesperson of the group said. “We humbly ask for your patience till we have fully completed the analysis. We hope to solve the mystery of these sectors and prove Commander Salomé’s innocence with this, who is still missing herself. What we can reveal at this time is that except for the beacons, the data shows signs of other artificially created objects in these sectors. We are currently trying to determine their location.”

When questioned with the protection of the data the spokesperson answered: “Despite attempts by unknown forces to destabilise HR 6421, the data is as secure as it will ever be.”
