This is a follow-up letter subsequent to CMDR M.V Coehoorn's original inquiry. We are prepared to increase the original contract price to 100 Billion Credits.
The Sovereign Newsfeed's revelations, which surfaced just weeks after the tragic event, have cast doubt over what was initially seen as a tragic mistake. Despite our exhaustive efforts and utilization of all available resources, we have been met with a profound lack of discovery. The Kingfisher was destroyed on my birthday - November 25th, 3308. To be completely candid, I am beyond frustrated. Months of preparation, and a promising future we were eagerly anticipating... Obliterated. I hold an optimistic view that Wallglass is uniquely positioned to offer the closure we have been seeking. Speculation can only provide us so much.
As one of the "Top 10 Commanders" who participated in the Kingfisher Initiative, I was especially invested in the success and objectives of the Thargoid Advocacy Project. As CEO of YKE Technologies, we officially pledged support towards the T.A.P on September 7th, 3308. This tragedy's consequences have significantly depleted our resources, and forced us to reduce operational capacity in the months that followed. Securing funding for Interspecies Research has become an exceedingly challenging endeavor, as most organizations now deem it too perilous. Many of our own members have resigned, firmly convinced that all hope had been extinguished.
The Kingfisher, part of the Thargoid Advocacy Project's larger effort, aimed to establish peaceful contact with the Thargoids—an endeavor that would have produced immense promise for Humanity's future. However, the abrupt and catastrophic events that unfolded have left many of us questioning the integrity of the entire operation.
Where is the conspiracy? - Onboard the Cargo Hold, several Commanders reported finding Thargoid Artefacts, well-known for their potential to rapidly escalate tensions between Humans and Thargoids. Unlike Meta Alloys, the recently uncovered Coral Sap, or the various samples obtained from Thargoid Surface Sites, these three commonly recognized Thargoid Artefacts trigger a notably stronger and more aggressive reaction when detected in the Cargo Hold. The Sovereign illuminated this fact in their brief exposé, but only speculated as to what their purpose onboard could be.

It simply is not rational for a Xeno Peace Megaship to stockpile any quantity of Thargoid Artefact, if their goal is to truly establish peaceful communications. Nevertheless, this is precisely what was uncovered following the tragic catastrophe. Our experience with these highly sought-after commodities has led us to believe that it would be exceedingly challenging for an average citizen to acquire such items, contrary to what the Sovereign initially speculated.
As Commanders within the Pilot's Federation, we occupy a unique position that enables us to amass these commodities in substantial quantities. In light of this, we hold a strong belief that only a significant organization could be behind this tragedy, not any particular individual onboard the megaship. While the official narrative shared through Galnet paints a grim picture of a traditional Thargoid attack, this new revelation challenges the accepted version of events and raises unsettling questions about the true nature of what transpired. In February 3309, In conjunction with our Coalition Partners, YKE Technologies coordinated an official Search and Rescue campaign to recover individuals stranded onboard the Kingfisher. This operation, named Operation: Halcyon, yielded remarkable results as we successfully saved thousands of occupants, surpassing the guest count reported on Galnet. It's worth noting that all occupants have been relocated to the Andavandul system, and should the Wallglass Investigations Agency wish to conduct interviews with them, they should be readily available for consultation. Taking the initiative to establish a chronological sequence of events by relying on multiple firsthand eyewitness accounts appears to be the most reliable course of action.
To be clear, Our suspicions are firmly directed towards Federal Congressman Dalton Chase, given his direct involvement and abrupt departure just two days before the tragic event unfolded. From our perspective, the entire Thargoid Advocacy project appeared to be strategically orchestrated to take advantage of growing sentiments of peace, with the primary aim of catapulting then-Federal Governor Dalton Chase into the Federal Congress. We strongly suspect this event to be a calculated political maneuver rather than a genuine commitment to fostering Xeno Peace. Some YTEC members even suspect the conspiracy was aimed to suppress rising Xeno Activism sentiments, rather than support them as Dalton Chase claimed.
