I know, it's going to be so quiet around here with all the mode complainers gone.
But at least I won't have to keep showing them the WoI and trying to explain in small words that Frontier want the mode system.
I’m still smiling from the realization that it will be easier than ever to set up a Xanatos Gambit... at least against those who believe they can PvP their way to BGS success.

It does stay on. Always.
I just do not understand why people are still hammering on about the modes. You would think the obvious is obvious. The whole of the game is indirect PVP. Whether this is a mistake or not is up to the paying public to decide for themselves. The devs designed this feature, they are not going to change it.
If these players do not like the game because of it...then stop playing..advertise how crappy this game is...and warn others to stay away from it. Stop living on 'hope' for the game to live up to its 'potential' (their wild pipe dream). One of the reasons I enjoy Yamik's so much (aside from the squeaky toy demises (never change that sir!)) is he tells people the good AND the bad...unvarnished.
It is amazing that they believe we, the denizens of HC, have as much pull as we do. I do not want people to leave the game...but I do want them to play with healthy expectations and understanding that this is the game's design and cannot be changed to what they desire...

Other people complain about the mode system as well.
We will miss them when they leave, now Frontier have yet again not changed the mode system.
(Like we said they wouldn't)
We all know you won't leave, as you already broke a promise to quit months ago.
But you do serve a purpose, you keep this section of the forums alive.
So I've always got something to read when I'm bored.

I said I would leave if we never seen any incentives for open. Shows not over yet. Especially after that whole fuel rats thing.
Yeah, you know, when someone posts how well he is in touch with Frontier Development and how we all are clueless and "you'll see!" it quite a bit of fun to remind that somebody how very, very wrong he was. So yeah, I had lots of fun rereading that thread. Often thinking, That 90s kid, he is as clueless as he is certain of himself.
And talking about taking things a bit too serious, I am not the one who let this all get to me to the point I changed my name on the forum.
Maybe you should put on your big boi pants and go ahead and admit you have been spectacularly wrong about a lot of things the last year. Things you were certain were going to happen in 2018. But you won't, will you?

Especially after that whole fuel rats thing.
I expect Frontier can determine exactly who was involved in the Fuel Rats "thing", if they want to.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that all may not be as it seems - with some of those vocally supporting the Fuel Rats choosing to destroying Fuel Rats....

They are leaving for real, I saw a few of them leaving yesterday. They were leaving to PG so they could go into the fuelum CZ without instancing issues and because the loading time was too high, or because whatever excuse -the cheaters can do then we can do too- is.
If I was rooting for Open Only, I'd take BGS as a loss and focus on Powerplay.
There is far more support for OOPP, including from the devs. It might take a while, but I believe OOPP will be a thing. Get involved with the groups.

Well considering I came here because my player group kept getting attacked. No thanks.

Really though, those new BGS changes made powerplay look like crap. And im in a player faction. Id love to see that objective based gameplay. Its what ive been wanting to see for ages. Its right there. And Id like to use it properly.
Fair enough. But other, more reasonable players will be having fun playing OOPP while you're going home.
