Opentrack with Smartphone

Used it with open track 2.3
Install app to phone. The ip you need is not the router but the pc with open track installed. Turn on phone app run open track. Should now see figures and picture change. Leave both running start elite. Configure key to centre and to turn on off in opentrack. Elite sorts it self out. I get a bit of yaw drift when my screen goes off on phone for some reason.

Download OpenTrack 2.3, then install FreePIE from the Client Files directory (email the FreePiE APK to your phone or something)
Install freepie onto your phone and run it, in Opentrack set the sensor to Freepie UDP. Then run Elite Dangerous with TrackIR on in the Opentrack settings.

Should work as long as you configure it correctly.

Same here, no issues. Maybe a little input lag here and there since I can't get it to work with USB tethering. Which Android phone are you using? Maybe it doesn't support gyroscope or accerlerometer funktions?

tried exactly how it is written in the guide. nothing happens.
@steve72 where do i find my ip? I've typed my ip in google and i used that.

Log into router to find local ip 192.168.1.something or Get to your command prompt and I think you can type ipconfig. It needs to be local ip not your ip you connect to internet. It should be evident its working before you launch elite. Mangotrees says the settings.

I know this thread is a little old but I have the said guide completed and installed all right up to the point where I have Opentrack running, my phone is synced and the program is reading my movements with perfect feedback. I have located the device in device manager and see that input is read properly. Lastly, I have tried several protocols and protocol settings, however, ED does not seem to recognize any of my movements when trying to bind the appropriate axes.
Help would be much appreciated.
