Operation eviction?

I found a system with three factions and there is no native faction in the system, because each group in that system came from other systems by expansion. Is it possible to remove them all, one by one and leave the infrastructure unowned?

not sure if you can deal only negative actions to all the factions - as in im not sure you can push a faction down without pushing the other up

You'd need to get an extra faction in (to allow retreats to start), and then you could in theory get three of the factions into retreat simultaneously - the four faction condition is only checked to start the process, not to end it - to leave only one. It's been done occasionally, and leaves you with a single faction on 100% permanently expanding.

You couldn't retreat all four, though, for the reasons above.

We have a single faction system. It was 4 and required getting the bottom 3 into Retreat at the same time.
It was only acheived (accidentally!) during a period of extreme BGS FUBARity, not sure its a reasonable thing to even attempt in normal times.

I noticed a retreat from a system with three factions. Now only two faction occupy the system, none of them are native to the system.
