Operation Ida's 2nd Annual Hauliday Haul: Dec 14th - Jan 5th

The 2nd Annual Op-Ida Holiday/Hauliday Haul™ is coming this month and will begin Dec 14th and continue through Jan 5th.

The Haul commemorates the attacks on humanity and star ports which began on Dec 14th 3303 in the Pleiades and which also marks the beginning of the 2nd Thargoid / Human war.

It also commemorates the origins of Operation Ida

We're coming up on 2 years as a group comprised of so many who have been working so relentlessly & diligently, determined to repair the enormous amount of damaged stations in the aftermath of the Thargoid attacks.

Like last years Haul, we'll have weekend convoys, fun and diverse events, streaming and prizes as well as raising money for a worthy charity.

This year in honor of our fallen comrade CMDR Ra'kaan who lost his fight with cancer a few short months ago, we'll be raising money for The Cancer Research Institute, an excellent organization involved in all things cancer related. Our goal this year is $1000.

We'll be kicking off the Hauliday Haul™ on Dec 14th with a One & Done Event where we once again attempt to repair a damaged station in 24 Hours.

**We will share the location of this event the day prior as to ensure ourselves and our allies the opportunity to do this properly from start to finish.

Our intent again this year during the haul is to bring further awareness to the community about what we do and what's involved as well as celebrate our history & have fun. We're also looking forward to meeting new CMDRs and potentially welcoming them to our Amazing Traveling Circus of Hauling Mania.

The Hauliday Haul doesn't start for another 9 days and several people have already donated $320 to The Cancer Research Institute, The Org we’re fundraising for in honor of CMDR Ra’Kaan.

A huge thank you to these fine folks.

Looking forward to the Haul and meeting new friends as well as folks who haven't joined us for a while for the HAULIDAYS.

As the date draws close... bump

I plan on spending my christmas vacation from Colonia with the old crew, assisting and hauling and propably doing some CAP for you awesome guys & gals.
As I have to return from Colonia via suicideagle and do some tweaking of my bubble fleet, care to send me the target for the hauliday haul via PM beforehand?

We'll be letting the community know a day before so everyone gets a real opportunity to start and repair from scratch. If we didn't do it this way some well meaning folks who may not be able to attend the 14th might start repairs early.

However, since you're a former Ida (instrumental) staff member, I can give you a DM a few days prior. Be great to have you back with us for a day. o7

Ah, all good. I guess it's quick enough to get there on a day's notice (y)
Will spend more time with you I guess, looking forward to see some old friends again :)

Good times

Got 2 T9's, one is parked up near Colonia and the other is used for mining and trading, I actually used it to rank up on both rank grinds while doing station repairs.

Some may say I cheated but I just watched the boards and made sure that I brought back quantities of what was regularly wanted and was also required for station repairs, I also keep a smaller ship or 3 handy to do the rank up missions or other work, they also make handy system markers, far easier than scrolling through or typing in system names in the map:)

The bubble T9 is engineered, good enough to escape any NPC interdiction's, but with the cutter I am now getting into the habit of not evading - I have got to build up my combat rating somehow.

The down side with the Cutter is the way it drinks juice, it may jump a little bit further but it has not got the total range of the T9 out of the same sized tank, anything more than a couple of jumps and a scoop is required.

For anyone that does not know, Outfitting in a damaged station does not have anything available for sale but is still available for use, you can transfer in your own required items and then swap them as required, ie; fuel scoops, cargo racks etc.

I dunno. I love my T9. I drop the 7A dirty drives from my Corvette into it and can perma boost at 300+ m/s when it is empty. In a T9 that feels like it's going as fast as lightning! 🤪 I'm sure I will try a Cutter one day but I will always have a soft spot for the Space Cow.
The Cow is a special ship, its not the fastest or the best but it handles like nothing else and I love it for it.

Moooooooooo 7

See you in the black, CMDR

(Not convinced using the cow though, can't chose between refitting Save the Oracle/Pleiades Rising for cargo once more or use my Cutter Golden Arches)

My sentimental side makes me want you to pull the T9 back out, just for old times sake :D
