With the aliens around, it is now prudent to look for other parts of the galaxy that we could colonise should the worst come to us!

CMDR Stephen Gordon has acquired the IES Seeker, an engineered Asp Explorer, to visit the void in search of new systems for the Empire.

The intention was to explore multiple surfaces, but a farcical first landing has reduced the ship's hull to 49%, and this was quickly followed by one SRV hop too many, smashing into a canyon wall and destroying the only SRV that was on board. All systems are fine due to the presence of 2 AFM units but the hull is creaking.

CURRENT LOCATION - Circa 250LY from NGC 7822 nebula, roughly 2.4KLY from home.

The journey through space was uneventful, with 6 waypoints utilised to cover the circa 2.5KLY first phase. This will be the first blog of this journey and once I work out how to upload images I'll put on this thread. It's gonna be a long voyage for the Seeker!

CURRENT LOCATION - Heading to IC 1396 Sector systems, roughly 3KLY from home.

Finally found my first Earth-Like, only 249 systems into the journey! No mishaps since last post, all modules functioning properly and no further need for repairs.

I'm trying to post some pics using the 'insert image' function; have all my files at jpg format but it's still saying invalid file type. Any hints would be appreciated, would brighten up the thread!!

You have to upload them to a secondary site like http://imgur.com and then upload the URL instead of the file. You can not upload the file anymore.

When using imgur if you upload the image link it will just provide a link to go see it there. If you upload the direct link, it will post the picture directly in your thread here.

This was the first pic on the journey. Not sure how the asteroid belt would stay in position so close to a star, I thought the gravity would pull them all in;

Next up was this little beauty. Nice dark planet, very foreboding but hey, still a metallic ring around it just lure in the bees!!

And the best part of the journey so far, the first Earth-Like World that I found and somehow it wasn't tagged. All the systems around had been visited (well, looks like honk and scan sun tbh) so hopefully I've been lucky and this one stays my discovery when I cash my chips in at the bank;
