Operation Orange Peel is "go". Be Brave, Save Lave.

ALL PILOTS BULLETIN

Operation Orange Peel

Lave Station has come under attack - unknown assailants have damaged the station and with the extensive supplies of Lavian Brandy at risk of detonation, the decision has been made to carry out a full evacuation of the station. We suspect as just about nobody knows anything about the Alliance, they forgot that they're not actually based in Lave and couldn't be bothered to target Reorte....

With the Alliance, Federation and Empire also under attack, but blessed with strong governmental support it falls to the Independent pilots of the galaxy to rescue Lave - home of Lave Radio and the famous Brandy. This is an ALL PILOTS ALERT - evacuation has commenced in Lave and repairs will be beginning once the station population is safe. The Hutton Truckers are spearheading the operation to rescue our sister station from premature detonation should the fires reach the Lavian Brandy supplies.

Lave might be a dusty old relic, but it's one of our favourite dusty old relics and we like it just the way it is.

Entarius Fusion of the Hutton Helper has fired up a tracking system for your ships, monitoring the rescue efforts and Alvin has authorised the issuing of prizes for selected contributors..

To log your activity, don't forget to install/set up the Hutton Helper available via http://hot.forthemug.com - available for consoles AND PC commanders.

Tune in to tonight's Hutton Orbital Live from 20:30UTC for updates on this rapidly evolving situation and our investigation as to what these dudley-do-bads have against Lave.

This is awesome. No official Community Goal? The Community makes its own! And in a matter of hours no less.

To show my appreciation for this effort, I have just bought a new ship and outfitted it as SAR vessel for station evacuation. ^^ See you around!

Hum. I have done a first run but it doesn't seem to register.
I have freshly installed EDMC (today) and the HH Plugin.
Is this just a matter of update latency? Or am I doing something wrong.

After the breaking news this morning I rushed home to refit my Anaconda with enough cabins for 112 souls, then because of my previous affiliation with the Alliance went straight out to Alioth to help the evacuation of Donaldson. The light of the star reflecting off the Orbis station was a bit too bright though and hurt my eyes so after a few evacuation runs there I’m now on course for Lave to see what good we can do.

80,000 already rescued.
This is phase 1 - the evacuation
Phase 2 is the repair.

At the end of that we will be looking at the table and raiding the prize bin but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't at least one Hutton Mug available for the top rescue trucker, some Hutton Decals and whatever else we can raid from the prize bin.

Welp... Not much to build there. I fitted a T7 with a Low-Emission PP ... Class 4 bc that improves the odds I might reuse it later, but a 3A would suffice.
Fill Utility slots with heat sinks.

The Type 7 is the most economic passenger vessel, with some 150 passengers for as little as 20M. The problem is it has heat issues, therefore I consider the Low Emissions PP pretty crucial, and I still take 4 heatsinks along.
