Operation: ReForge Aegis has concluded.
A special thanks to all the amazing supporters who helped with this campaign.
Campaign Summary
There was a great initial swell of support, which led to open dialogue with local faction leadership which identified the need to keep “Peace in the Pleiades”. The presence of Aegis has traditionally antagonized the local Thargoids, and led to power struggles throughout the region. Our core operations team aimed to show support to Aegis and try to rectify past transgressions, while working together towards a better and brighter future.
There was great engagement from our amazing core supporters, noticed work from quiet supporters, and many who actively engaged us in excellent dialogue. I know there are also many who worked hard to ‘hold back the tide’ of our enthusiasm to bring back Aegis. For the greater stability of the Pleiades sector, I thank you for your hard work to keep peace in the region.
Our current determination is that Aegis needs a new home to survive. One where it can continue its amazing work, removed and unhindered by human bubble politics. A new Aegis must exist outside the petty squabbles of politicians and those wishing to ‘pull strings’ to their own desires. Only then, can a new Aegis continue its work of uncovering the mysteries about the Xeno races, understanding their technology, and working to further protect humanity.
Aegis also needs supporters. The superpowers have abandoned Aegis, yet there are independent factions that wish to keep supporting them, and their work. Those same systems also need help with protection. A new Aegis can help provide them with the knowledge, and technology, to defend themselves. Other Independent systems, especially those on the outskirts of the bubble, will need protection now more than ever. The superpowers will inevitably protect ‘core worlds’, leaving many to defend for themselves. Aegis must have embassies for representation in the outskirts of the human bubble to help protect the people there.
Recommendations
Aegis new Research Center (Home System)
System: PMD2009 48
This system is within good proximity to the old battleground site between Guardians and Thargoids. It would also be perfect for additional research and resource gathering. Its remote nature also helps make it more immune to bubble politics and influences.
Alternative Options:
Outlying nebula systems (without Thargoid presence), or Frontier Human Bubble Systems. Preferably with high material availability for research usage. Ideally systems with lower conflicting factions.
Aegis Embassies (Humanities Defense)
Smaller outlying regions that wish to partner and support Aegis. This would allow Aegis to build out its protective forces, and provide technology resources, in systems where the superpowers would not be willing to protect. This will allow those factions to have an outreach point to Aegis, and to help maintain contact with the new Aegis research center.
These locations could potentially also host a ‘donation initiative’ for the galactic community to help fund and rebuild an Independent Aegis.
Pleiades Sector
Request that the superpowers ‘release’ the remaining facilities, data, and assets to the remaining Aegis leadership team. The Pleiades Aegis facilities recommended to be decommissioned and unusable assets sold to other factions to fund buildout in the new Aegis home system.
Campaign Support Gains
The following were monitored gains over the course of the event. Towards the campaigns end, supporters were directed to help maintain controlling factions. A new Aegis needs to bolster our strength together, not create more divisions.

Closing Remarks

This will be the last official broadcast pertaining to “Operation: ReForge Aegis”, a copy of this report will be transmitted to Professor Alba Tesreau for the Aegis reformation conference. Only time will tell if our work, and message, made enough of an impact on the galaxy. While the campaign supporters are hopeful, all involved understand that Aegis may finally be shut down tomorrow.
If Aegis doesn’t survive the coming storm. We are left with the memories made, the missions we ran, and the friends who were reunited, and made, along the way. Remember CMDR’s, only together can we bring forth a change for the better in the galaxy. Our actions must speak just as loud as our words, and through them reflect upon who we are, in our successes, and our failures.
