hermmm... how do you trade onfoot "data" content??!!
You can drop it just like any other material from your backpack, so you meet with another Cmdr and you both do that.
maaan... you are saying you can drop data which you have downloaded from data ports and it will behave like "phisical" items???
Over here, gents. And yes, data will conveniently transform itself into an item (go to w/e the radial wheel is called, go to your backpack, "select" an item from one of the tabs and choose the amount to drop). Take into account that if you exceed your inventory space by picking up a stack of items, the surplus will be lost forever (for instance, if you have space for 10 data, someone drops 15 and you pick it up, 5 are lost).

Since we can drop odyssey materials on the ground, we can probably help each other out especially when it comes down to materials that are only useful for unlocking engineers. ⚠️Pro-tip: before picking up a batch of items, make sure you have the room for the whole batch. Otherwise, the game...

I was having doubts guys.... cause for ages I thought it to be impossible to trade.... even saw some posts about it, like "why was it possible to trade the rest but not data"....
still, I didn't came here stating it would be impossible.... I kinda asked 'in denial' but with high hopes that I would be wrong or something had changed in game that I wasn't aware....

This is excellent intel, thanks for posting about it. Is there a thread where Cmndrs can post requests and offers?

You can get lots of MIs from the surface POIs which spawn crashed skimmers, NAV beacons, satellites etc.
That said, I have lots of MIs and would be happy to trade with you (I'm on PC). Heck I'll even give you 2 for 1! DM me if you're still looking.
