Opinion: we already found all the Dynasty Probes

OPINION: we have already found all the probes

It seems that there should be 4 probes for given sector, one trasmitting at :00, another at :15, another at :30 and another at :45.

4 have been found in the rift
4 have been found in the gap
3 have been found in the conflux

this might lead to think that one is missing in the conflux, but:

In the rift and in the gap the given system contined the first probe, then other 3 have been found nearby.
In the conflux in the given system there's nothing: just a single M class (or K, can't remeber). M (or K) main sequence are not bigger than 1000Ls, the probe could be anchored only around the star. Whereevcer direction you enter the system, you should be at 1000Ls from the probe if it was there, since there's not another planet, not even an asterois belt.

So probably the "first" conflux probe went missing (fell in the corona of the starr, kidnapped by thargoids, whatever).
In game they probably never implemented it. They knew we would have found them superfast so they made this trick to make us consume a lot of time in the conflux.

To this I add that a 12 of CMDR (minimum) have searched the sector for 2 evenings. In the other 2 sectors all the probes have been found very fast.

I can be wrong, the probe could be in the outskirts of the area (200Ly radius), but i think we already found all the probes (they can alway ninja patch more anytime).

This seems reasonable but there are so many systems within 200LY that I don't think it is (or can be within the time frame of the CG) conclusive. I would only say that it is still worth other commanders visiting to just look around but to not have any expectations of finding any more Unregistered Communications Beacons. There might still be something else interesting to find nearby.
.
Personally, I'm looking for Earth-like and Ammonia Worlds near the beacon in Hawking's Gap. My most interesting finding so far is a system with two Ammonia Worlds. I suspect that the recent Galnet article about a construction convoy might also be related. Perhaps more will be revealed if the Children of Raxxla CG ranks higher than the competing Federation CG. It would not surprise me if those beacons start to transmit something else, at some time afterwards.

While I do agree that there probably aren't more beacons in the vicinity, the term 'rally point' implies that there are obe or more objectives to be found - unless the Dynasty expedition simply was a Bubble->Gap->Conflux->Rift->Bubble roundtrip. (Which would have been one very well paying sightseeing mission ... )

I disagree completely. There's absolutely no reason to assume that an expedition needs to comprise a single journey or a return trip.
For example the purpose may have been (not that I advocate this possibility per se) "Locate a suitable colony sufficiently distant from other systems" each fleet therefore may elect to have considered (or been required) to explore in different directions to increase the efficacy of finding such and mitigate against disastrer should it befall one particular route.

IN the Dynasty Expedition case, I suspect there were three separate fleets as a part of the expedition the exact nature of their intent unclear (I have my suspicions, mentioned elsewhere) each fleet therefore had distinct destinations and separately journeyed independantly but each under the directive of the intent of the expedition.

Well, we're all forced to make a lot of assumption here, and though I based it on the possible 'enroute rally point' meaning for ERP, I was being ironic with the round trip comment. :)

All I intended to say was that 'rally points' aren't usually the objective, but assembly areas en route or close by.
