I was just thinking of posting this suggestion myself.
Headtracking/Eyetracking is currently not working correctly while on-foot, as reported ->
https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/34299
I also have a thread over here ->
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/how-are-headtracking-users-managing-on-foot-aiming.580389/
This issue is really important to me (and others using these systems) and it would make a world of difference to us if we could please have an option to automatically have headtracking/eyetracking switched off
in-game when switching to on-foot. Currently we have to do this manually via the software for our hardware system (in my case TrackIR) in order to fix the aiming problems when using headtracking on-foot. While manually toggling via our external software works, it really is tedious having to switch it on and off each time we go in and out of the on-foot mode and simply having an option in-game to not use head-tracking when on-foot would benefit us tremendously.
Let me also add that headtracking/eyetracking works 100% correctly when in-ship, so this does not need to be affected - it is only the on-foot experience.
Also, I'll add that what I'm after is exactly the same as implemented with the SRV Turret Mode, which automatically ignores headtracking when you switch to this mode, however it would be better to make this an option when on-foot, just in case some people still want to use it for some reason.
Happy to provide any extra info if required.
Thank you
