Orange Sidewinder error code (and others)

I was interdicted this afternoon in Deciat by a Cmdr in a nicely armed Krait MkI, so I submitted thinking “here we go, I’m about to find out if these lightweight frags and 750m/s-ish boost speed are a decent mix.” Several minutes later I’m still sitting in my Courier with the submission drop down animation plodding away. Initially I didn’t think too much about it as I was readying pips and so on, then I put it down to the usual Open issues.

Finally, I get an ‘Orange Sidewinder’ crash screen and have to log back in. I couldn’t be bothered wasn‘t interested in sending the Cmdr a friend request just to message him and see what happened so tried system chat but got no response.

I’m just wondering if there’s anywhere that lists the various error codes and their causes and whether anyone would know what the other Cmdr may have experienced? I’m not bothered if they think I combat logged but I do feel slightly grubby and a little cheated

Nor that I've found, although no doubt there will be a community created list of assumptions somewhere.

I think if FDev can make the error messages say something they can make it say something helpful. As it is I get the impression they have time to waste on Easter eggs in crash reports.

Those weird error codes were added recently, without any explanation or list of what they mean. Perhaps they are intended to be obscure, although I can't imagine why. I dislike them.

I couldn't agree more Riverside, surely better to provide clear, concise information than obfuscated but cool(?!) sounding names and Codger; yes I dislike them too but not quite as much as the issues themselves.

Thanks to both for your responses. When everyone was getting mauve this and black that I kept a low profile as everything was working well for me, as such I wasn't sure if I'd missed something.

I thought it appears when you try to install a luxury passenger cabin with a functioning bathroom.

We've had one combat log, the offending commander has since been relegated to bathroom duties and very rarely appears on the show these days. We're thinking of transferring him to Hutton Orbital Radio to sort out Cubicle Three. We're used to Black Holes in the game, but Hutton Orbital is the only place were you find a Brown Hole!!

they wouldn't want you to actually know what's going wrong in the game, would they?

Pretty sure I saw a 'Blue Cobra' error recently. ? I may have been entering a Coriolis port? Remember thinking, 'is that meaningful? Will it help them [FDev] identify and cure an issue?'
As a former coder, I'm hoping that this is to help the developers focus on the most significant issues.

As someone who has played a few online games, I feel I'm seeing more contention issues - too many people hitting instances (or servers) at the same time.
This is not a trivial problem to understand and resolve, and throwing resources at the wrong part of the problem wouldn't help.
