Orange Sidewinder?

what's up with Orange Sidewinder? I am getting it everyday for more than a week. Somedays I can never get on at all. I usually keep trying but after 30+ minutes of repeated failures it starts to make me wonder why I play this game.

edit: I have already uninstalled & reinstalled ED twice. I have turned off Windows firewall. Every other game and app works on my PC. It is only Elite that doesn't work.

This has been reported on the Issue Tracker at least six times (I decided not to bother finish counting when I realised how bad it was) and most of those have at least three confirmations, so something's up ...

Two themes in those comments
1. Reboot your router (not your PC), Elite does some semi-unique things with the network so other games working is not quite evidence that your router is sane
2. Sol or Sirius or nearby seem to have partic problems

Thank you for sending that article. In my case, it was my AMD drivers that needed to be updated and that article pointed me right to it. I updated the drivers and rebooted, then Elite worked fine.
