Orbital mechanics at odds ?

I understand the "Wow effect" of 3 stars orbiting close to each other but it looks very unrealistic and dumb. My understanding of orbital mechanics (which is very average but still) tells me that stellar objects tends to clear their orbital vicinity relatively quickly.

When I see that kind of things http://i.imgur.com/Lx8mo8j.jpg, I just feel that orbital state of the system is very unstable and will break catastrophicaly very soon... But it doesn't...

And what about this one : http://i.imgur.com/QMxg30g.jpg

There are also tons of planetary bodies that seems to orbit much to close to each other and past the Roche limit... Seriously, for a game that boasts itself about being scientifically accurate, it bothers me greatly !

Maybe I'm wrong and this has already been addressed. In that case I'm sorry !

What do you guys think ?

I think it's just a video game and nowhere near a high-fidelity galaxy simulator.

"scientifically accurate" had a good chuckle on that :)

Contact Binary systems can maintain stable orbits for millions/billions of years, can they not?
