Community Event / Creation Orbiting VY Canis Majoris (contains spoilers!)

VY Canis Majoris - One of the largest known stars.

About halfway there (approx. 800Lys out) there is a wide band of systems made up of brown dwarf stars - the Col 121 Sector - so you have to choose your route carefully when crossing it as you can't scoop fuel off them. Luckily there are a few orange star oasis's dotted amongst the band that really save your skin!

It took me around 4 hours to get there in a stripped down Long Range Cobra Mk3.

1,832 LYs from Sol, I don't think I'll be coming back during gamma!

I didn't look, because I didn't want it to be spoiled for me, but this is on my top 5 list of places in the galaxy that I want to see.

I'm still blown away that they created a realistic (or as real as can be expected, given current scientific data) recreation of our entire galaxy.
Only 3 weeks to go until I get to explore it.
