Orbitting should be available without Super Cruise Assist...

As the title says, I think the new orbitting feature should be available without the module. It is mostly for RP purposes, but I would love to be able to stay in an orbit without keeping my nose down. This would be a small change, and it is already ingame. It is something any space ship should be able to do automatically, and would not require any thrust even. So please make this available for all of us, without the module. To be clear I do not want all the other SC assist components made available without the module, just this little neat thing...

yes, would be incredible, clicking to a planet in nav-panel and select "Orbiting" and the ship fly to planet and stay or fly around the planet in standard-orbit. I would be satisfied if this feature do the Supercruise Assist.

Its the only thing I like about SCA myself. Not enough to use up a slot for the orbiting feature though, so I would like to see this too.

Seriously Frontier, this needs to happen! And without a module slot my character currently at Beagle point would get it too...

I have been thinking about that too.

If I can add to this... I would also love the ability to choose different orbiting altitudes.
This is perhaps not very important now, but in the future when we are given access to atmospheric planets and gas giants it would be awesome to choose a very low orbit and see a huge beautiful earth-like planet with cloud scapes and glittering seas looming over you. Currently many planets feel a bit too small because of the distance we are forced to keep.

That's another good idea! Even just choosing between geosyncronous and altyernatives would be nice! We wouldn't need much more than three options for it really...
