Orca Owners Take Note

If you happened to park your Orca at a station that does not sell Passenger Cabins, you will likely note you now have the option to upgrade your joke of a 4C Fuel Tank to a much more useful 5C Fuel tank.

Don't waste your time trying. You'll likely get an Outfitting Error.

Instead, take your Orca to a station that actually sells Cabins, and try to refit your fuel tank there. It will likely work without error.

I ran into this last night and this worked for me. Already been Bug-Reported, but if you're not wanting to wait, this workaround will likely work for you as well.

The Beluga had it's fuel tank increased during beta, but you were required to go and retro-fir the larger one yourself. I presume they must have done the same for the Orca? No other ships got increased main fuel tank size that I am aware of.

I'm not referring to the fuel tank. I mean in general. Cause that bug seems to effect all my ships

Was wondering what was going on... Obviously a bug... Have you reported it?

Hang on.... My Beluga has a 128T fuel tank off the bat.

Orcas and Belugas got an increased during the beta.

Now we are live

Only ships purchased before the increase would need to be manually effected.

Since Orcas were in the game before 2.2 live then they will be able to fit the larger tank.

Since the Belugas was not in live before 2.2 no Belugas need to be refitted

I wondered how we were giong to have to deal with this.

In beta only way I could see to get the "upgrade" was to sell your ship and buy a new one.

Of course, you bought it with it. The change was in beta. Every owner of an Orca (pre 2.2) can buy a bigger fuel tank because it got changed with the update. Everyone buying a new Orca should already have the bigger one fittet (same for Beluga...)

Heh, I did this "workaround" last night by accident. The station where I had my Orca stored didn't even offer the Class 5 fuel tank, so I went ahead to a High Tech system to do all my outfitting in one shot.

Worked perfectly.
