if the space d!ldo is your idea of "ideal form" that's great, but for me the orca needs more definition and emotion in form.

I did! grabbed a screen shot from google and added some flair haha. and Viper4 it already is a ship kit on top of the viper 3, don't know how many more spoilers it can handle as Agony_Aunt put it
Dont look at the Viper 4 through the lense of the Viper 3. It is its own ship, Any good designer could look at its lines and find avenue for flare.
Even the Viper 3 Ship kit has some parts which would work well with the Viper 4 shell.
