You're right and I meant to change the powerplant before I left, forgot about it when planning my route and was well on my way when I remembered.
I'll make sure to change it for my next trip.
I haven't had any heat problems yet though, almost 8k ly out now in Heart nebula going clockwise along the outer rim.

B6 fuel scoop does the job just fine. I would argue only FSD and power plant need to be A-rated.

Nah, B class versions of modules are the heaviest possible for their size. D class are the lightest. A class are the most powerful. When building a lightweight ship, always go for D unless you need the extra power.

The fuel scoop doesn't weigh anything, so the B6 is fine. It fuels quickly and it's about a quarter of the price of the A6.
