Original 2013 backer, unable to access Frontier Store

I am having an issue where I am an original backer from 2013 but while I can still login (obvciously) here to the forums, my credentials are no longer accepted on the Frontier Store so I can't login to retrieve my old account or keys. I was able to do that a few years ago when I migrated over to playing ED via the Oculus, but now when I launch the game, I am prompted to relink to my Frontier Store account, which as I said above, I can no longer do. I did submit a ticket so hopefully support can assist as I really want get back into ED, but would hate to lose all my progress as my commander had considerasble in-game credits and ships/equipment accumulated. All of this is made somewhat more complex as while I have a saved archive of the old email account associated with both this forum account and the Frontier Store, the account itself is no longer valid so any "recover password" type actions will not work. My hope is that support can update my store and forum account to a new email address. When I tried to do that manually for the forum I am given an error. Apparently, although I can still login here with my old credentiuals, I can't change them.
 
you wont loose any progress made the only way that data can be lost is if you use the clear save option in the games main menu so never hit that if you dont wanna loose all progress
also accounts are not deleted or made inactive but maybecome so if its been a long periods of inactivety and game updates.........
accounts can need a good kick to be recognized and get going again which support will be happy to help you with
my old email and password have always been recognised but that maybe because i did not buy through a vendor and i bought direct from fd
if yo are gona use new e mail addresses or wrong ppasswords etc no wonder you wont be recognized and may have to liase with support to get things back on track using a new changed email after account id revarificarion and a credentials update at the store page https://www.frontierstore.net/ which will overview like this and show what is downloadbable via my downloadble prodiucts and date of purchses etc mine are displayed and datestamped since 2013 when logged in

The problem I am having is twofold. First, I did save my original login name and password, but for some reason the Frontier Store no longer sees it as valid. I have an idea why, which is related to how my old email address was formated. It was "xxxxxxx@cinci.rr.com" and I have seen where some authrization systems which used to handle a double period domain name email address just fine years ago, tend to have issues with them now.

The second issue is that since I can't access that old email address (the domain no longer exists as far as I am aware) the reset password functionality does me no good because if Frontier generates a new password reset link, its going to that old non-functioning email address.

What is weird is that this forum system DOES let me login with my original email address and password, which would have been the same as the store, but even here, I can not change my email address for my user account. When I try to do so, I get this error saying my old email address is invalid (even though it lets me log in with it), which again makes me think that Frontiers current system has an issue with how my old email address was formatted. Just a guess and I am aware that both the forum system and store system are seperate, but I am sure for ease, I would used the same usernames and passwords for both back then.

I did find a saved copy of my original order placed directly on the Elite: Dangerous Online Store system (actually I ordered the game along with a lifetime expansion pass in 2014 not 2013) which hopefully will allow me to confirm my ownership of the game when support eventually contacts me.

You are not the first person I've seen who's had this issue. It is rare, but it's come up before, and support were able to fix it. I've mentioned this to the team so they are aware of it, fingers crossed you can get back in soon.
