Orion Nebula

Screenshot_0010.jpg Thought I would do a little looking from the safety of my hangar. Would our ships even survive going into that madness? Old and kinda clueless here. :)

I'm not a die hard explorer but Orion is one of the nebula's I've visited. Definitely worth a proper look. Slap on a fuel scoop and go see the sights :)

Yeah, if you can get a fuel scoop, a ship with a jump range big enough to make it there and fly well enough not to hit a star then you'll be fine :)

Why shouldn't a ship survive - despite the fact that it looks close, the system there are still seperated by huge distances. Worth a trip, though i was a bit dissapointed. On the map it looks more dense as it actually is. What i really enjoyed, and just a bit further away, was the corner at bernards loop / horsehead - especially horsehead. From the right angle it almost looks like its liquid.

Thanks for your replies. Why shouldn't a ship survive? Oh I don't know. Anyplace where stars and planets form I thought might just be a tad turbulent. :) and yes, horsehead, witch head and a few others have piqued my interest.

Ah ok, sadly the Elite universe isn't that detailed.. Well not yet anyway, at the moment you can fly right through a black hole and out the other side :)
