I wasn't a huge fan of using Voice Attack/ Voice Packs, but how can I pass up having Captain Kirk onboard?!

Is it just me then that thinks his voice and delivery is just really REALLY grating? [blah]

(Edit - I mean Shatner's voice of course, not our ObAnt.)

Feth me I know right...I am scared to add 3rd party extras as I am not the most computer litterate but I have to have James T Fething Kirk be my Siri

Yeah I tried to resist the voice attack thing in fear of losing performance, but now how could I refuse ?
I'm buying!

From the latest newsletter, "A new voice pack with over 1300 phrases from the legendary science fiction master who has lent his voice for a thoroughly immersive experience."

Two friends (in separate countries) who worked with him behind the scenes during conventions had nothing good to say about him. If you had a Nimoy pack, I'd be interested, but not this.

"legendary science fiction master" ***

One you set it up and figure out what words it has problems with your voice, it's a piece of cake. Never noticed any performance issue.

That's awesome. I've never had an interest or knowledge of voice activation stuff but I don't think I'd be able to resist Shatner telling me about the galaxy :)

Frontier should just make a deal with these guys to provide the voiceover content some folks seem to want for missions and whatnot. It's pretty clever the way they've wrapped it around Voice Attack, but more directly collaborating would make for way more interesting stuff. Take it to the next level for season three and make the "military careers" stuff they want to do campaigns with some SF legends stuffed in a booth rattling off variations. I'm sure the writers would love to take a crack at writing dialogue for these people and this outfit has shown they are capable at doing the recording and talent wrangling.

Not that I'm THAT into it, but I bet lots of other folks would be.

Then again, I'd pay to listen to Tom Baker read the entire commodities section. Or as some Thargoid expert pontificating and blathering on in Galnet exclusives.

"Ahhhh..."

Don't bite off more than you can chew, add a few per season for The Glorious Ten Year Plan.

There are literally hundreds and thousands of blinking, beeping, and flashing lights, blinking and beeping and flashing - they're *flashing* and they're *beeping*. I can't stand it anymore! They're *blinking* and *beeping* and *flashing*! Why doesn't somebody pull the plug!

Awesome!
