General / Off-Topic OT: How does Netflix do it?

Totally OT but you guys are smart so:
When you log into Netflix there is a short "video" that plays about their new show 'Beasts of no Nation'.
I want to do the same thing on my website.

How do they make it 'play' with out us having to click at all?
Is it a GIF is it JAVA, other?

I've been trying to find out and am at a #@$()*&$ loss. If anyone can point me in the right direction or the 'right' forum to ask this question on it would be really helpful!

Seriously that is off topic. However you can embed a video player that has an autoplay property set to true.

Embeded youtube can do this, or look at an embeded video script for your site (like flowplayer)

Now sit back and enjoy the thread move...

Thanks for the quick responses guys.
I just don't think it's that simple. It's not a matter of simply embedding it in. It's something else...

Got it: It's a full screen html 5 video background.

I said Netflix but it's basically the same with the ED homepage of the Cobra dropping into a planets atmosphere.

Thanks!
