Other food sources for flying reptiles

Besides fish, what if the flying reptiles had ancient insects flying around in the aviary as well? It would make the aviary more visually interesting and it would give another food source for the pterosaurs.

If they're not going to put in new assets, they should at least let the Dimorphodons and Tapejaras feed from meat feeders. The Tapejaras should also be able to eat plants, preferably fruits (not sure if fruit specifically are in the game yet since I don't own the game yet), since their close relative Sinopterus was preserved with seeds in its stomach. Putting in a dedicated shellfish feeder for the Dsungaripterus is perhaps a bit too much to expect so I'm cool with those eating from the fish feeders, though maybe let them eat from the meat feeders as well? Assuming that they do put in Quetzalcoatlus eventually since it's at least in the Dominion prologue if not necessarily in the actual film itself (big missed opportunity for some scary scenes if they don't put it in, in my opinion), that should eat exclusively from meat and goat feeders. No sign of any piscivory in azhdarchids.

Actually a shellfish feeder is a really good idea. Like you say it would be good specifically for Dsungaripterus. But there are other non-pterosaur candidates as well.
It would open the door to adding durophagous mosasaurs like Globidens, Carinodens and Xenodens as possible animals.
But hadrosaurs are actually known to supplement their diet with crustaceans. It could be fun to have a shellfish feeder as an optional addition for hadrosaurs to make them more healthy and maybe life longer. Kinda like how the paleofeeders worked in the previous game.

Instead of a feeder, maybe have it so you can select a body of water and fill it with crustaceans, so when the hadrosaurs go to drink they also satisfy their crustacean hunger.
