A ring-like filament of stars wrapping around the Milky Way may actually belong to the galaxy itself, rippling above and below the relatively flat galactic plane. Given the star density I suspect we'd need a considerable increase in jump range to make it out to and through them.
Given FD's excellent record adding exoplanets, It'll be interesting to see if they are included at some point in the future.
