We had a member in our group for over a year. I won't put the name of the player in here, but it is in the linked news article. He claimed his house was destroyed by the New Zealand quake in November. There was conflicting behavior and people started asking questions. We did some digging and found out we got scammed. Pictures sent to us were from a New Zealand news article about a couple who lost their farm house. They did a followup article with us and the member in question when we asked them to confirm the house wasn't his here
Needless to say we're very sorry for anyone who might have donated to this cause. We didn't properly vet this person's story because we thought we knew them. We won't make this mistake a second time.
