Out in the cold?

So with the announcement of Odyssey and the pre-order ability, I noticed what seems to be a small problem. From what I can tell, it looks like Odyssey is only available through Steam, the Epic Games store, the Playstation store, or the XBox One store. Since I bought E:D and Horizons directly from the Frontier website (Steam and Epic weren't available options at the time I got it), this seems to suggest that I, and other players like me who play on PC, but not through one of these other stores, are out in the cold for Odyssey. Am I missing something here?

Ok, so I mentioned this in the Fleetcomm Discord and learned something useful, but somewhat confusing. If you go to Frontierstore.net instead of directly to elitedangerous.com, Odyssey pre-order is available there. But there's no link to the Frontier store from Elitedangerous.net, or, if there is, it eludes me. Again, am I missing something here? Why no link to Frontier's own store?
