Out of fuel in 38 Cassiopeiae

So i was running my first rare trade, bought some rares nearby, almost fulled my cargo rack, and i started to travel far away. After a while, i realise i have a little fuel, and i only can do 1 more jump, but there's no civilization around me, so i'm lost with my type 6 full of rares, and no fuel. There's any way of getting fuel without fuel scooping?

No. Sorry. If you have neither a fuel scoop nor any station within range, all you can do is kill yourself. It's unfortunate and honestly rather stupidly handled in my opinion, but that's how it currently is.

Where are you? get a friend to come with a freighter and pick up the cargo.

Actually, just use up all your fuel (including Super Cruise) and just sit back and wait for a passing traveller to offer you a refill....mind you, it will cost.

Oof... Running long distance trade hops for rares without a fuel scoop? Unless you have enough system data to plan your refueling stops at places with stations that's a somewhat dodgy proposition. Even with one, dont get trapped into a route that has a bunch of unscoopable stars in a row...

That doesn't work no more. Once fuel scoops were introduced that safety-net went away. Use up all your fuel and what happens is your ship shuts down leaving you on your emergency oxygen. Then it runs out and you die.

If you do that, keep in mind that it'll count as Stolen.

Not sure if that will make them worthless. Pretty sure they must be sold on the market. Btw, why where you in the middle of nowhere? None of my rare trade circuits put me far from a inhabited system. My routes take me to 10 or more destinations, 15LY range on my Clipper

Is that even possible ? How can you refill mid space ?

You cant anymore. In Beta you could activate a distress signal

Never leave home without your Class 2 A fuel scoop.

Our apologies; you appear to be posting too rapidly right now. - lol really?
The Frontier Forums requires that you wait 60 seconds between posts. You may submit a new message in 8 second(s). - unreal lol

Sorry, your only option is fuel scoop or die. Better kiss goodbye to all that exploration data i assume touve been gathering and start wondering why you dindnt invest 1 k in credits in a scoop.

Wow... Well, i will have to pay my stupidity with another try other day...
I remember those times when you could just activate your emergency beacon...
Thank for ur responses guys

And I read the title as "Out of fuel in 38 cesspools!".

Unfortunately the distress beacon is gone, so just scream while pressing self destruct.

Is / was there an emergency beacon mechanic?

There was but, as previously mentioned, it was removed with the introduction of the fuel scoops.

They've said in similar threads in the past that they intend to revisit the issue sometime when they can more satisfactorily solve the issue without making it simple and exploitable (like the old beacons) but until then, all you can do is get a friend to come pick up the cargo and then self-destruct.

If you're going to be taking any kind of somewhat-long trips that is more than 3 jumps, you should always have a fuel scoop with you. The lowest fuel scoop is so inexpensive (less than 400cr) that everyone should have one.

Yeah i know... if someone wants like 50 tons of rare commodities, come to 38 Cassiopeiae and i will drop them for him.
I don't want to make all this effort go to waste hahaha.
