Newcomer / Intro Out of Money, Out of Fuel and Out of Luck

Lucky for me

Well, I got to say I enjoyed my time during this game, visuals were great and the universe was big, too bad I'm not going to see it.

I tried to doing the missions on the bulletin boards, went to the systems looking for said targets, spend HOURS trying to find them only to have the contracts expire on me OR I would shoot the wrong person, frustration maybe?

Desperately, trying to make some coin in this game, I continued fruitlessly to do these missions.

Now I'm grounded, with not enough money to repair my ship which is in critical condition the cockpit is cracked, and no fuel, not enough to jump out of the system.

So what the heck am I supposed to do, moreover WHY the heck couldn't I find the pirates during my missions. I thought dog fighting was supposed to be straight forward, go to area, kill pirates, go back to station, turn in mission.

What is a player supposed to do if they are stranded such as I, since there aren't any in system missions?

I think I had died 5 times in this game. Got killed landing on the pad, going out of the station, shoot at the station, ram into the guy who tried to kill me, lost bounty, charged for bounty, & ran out of fuel.
On this last game someone interdicted me I manage to kill him and collected 24K bounty and still trading and still alive . On top of that I look at the bulletin and tried to do more.
So far so good.
I must say it takes patient and time and also it is not for the grind but for the fun of it.
Tip:-- do not turn the engine power up all the way in a dog fight does nothing but waste fuel, time and also get you killed with those who know how to manage between engine power and strength

Just what I need to be in debt just like in Real life.

I don't understand why the mission briefs are so incomplete in information, they don't tell you where to find the pirates other then what system they are in, they don't tell you what pirate faction to look for or anything?

Is it any wonder that, that people will shoot the wrong person? The missions should be a bit more straight forward at least for the early starter missions, I know some people might have a problem with "Well we don't want to make the game too easy." and I get that, but you also don't want to have a flawed mechanic go unfixed because of fear of too easiness.

As a starter you have ALOT of info to process and get used to, and the missions should be a bit more straight forward in the beginning to allow a person to get into the flow of things, plus make enough money to keep their ship flying.

THEN later more advanced missions should include having to hunt as well, because at least by that point, you KNOW what you are doing and have enough money to at least not worry about when your next tank of gas is coming from.

i understand where you are coming from..the USS missions need a overhaul. gotta get lucky to find the npc that give you info on where to find your target. Honestly though. now that you have learned somethings the hard way, like many of us, clear your save or explode your ship and start with a free one. might be the best thing you can do at this point.

Do you seriously expect a mission that asks you to find something/someone to tell you where that something/someone is? Would pretty much defeat the whole point, don't you think?

Not for low level missions no, the point of level missions is to get you used to the mechanics of just going out there first, THEN, you can add the challenge of the hunt.

A couple low paying tutorial missions that teach you HOW to find you quarry and what to look for, and pays just enough to keep gas in the tank is all I'm asking.

And lastly, if someone is asking me to kill someone, I expect the game to be clear, currently it just tells you , hey kill pirates, but when you scan some one it doesn't tell you whether they are a pirate or not, just whether they are wanted or not. Which is no guarentee that they are infact a pirate.
