Outamax vertical lift height fixed?

Building my first Outamax ride with the vertical lift tower today and we really can't change the height of the tower? It is massive and won't fit for the design I am going for. NO way of making it custom heights?

Yeah, this is a stupid forced height to use. If they are having programming challenges for the lift to work with making it any height at least give us a few pre-made options. This colossus can never be used realistically for this coaster type.

uhm, this is almost realistic, counting your 8m elevation, you are basically at an effective of 56m, so 6m off from Speed (energylandia) or the one in Italy, the other models are 40m.
While I agree that we should have a few options but i also think that rides should be realistic and at least 40-50m is the realistic height and this should be not that negotionable as this is the whole USP of this model, that they reach a lot of velocity due to their height (for a water coaster), if you want a real smaller one like 20-30m build a mack one.

The whole point with this game is to be creative and build anything you want. That is not possible if they have these stupid limitations to force you into a specific path.

Yes and no, i for example am ok with some limitations. This is why we have around 40 coaster types, else i could go with one and just add the things i want with it. I guess like almost everyone here that the curved lift is an issue that restircts your height and for the intamin water coaster i prefer height than small, cause those things are massive in real life.

So if a coaster has a gimmick i am not totally against it, if the game forces you to use it.

i think there is a fine line between "realism" and "fun enganging gameplay/creative possibilites. simply locking certain rides to fixed heights with pieces is just not fun nor does it promote creativity. its the same also with that issue i have where i cannot place launch track on track pieces steeper than 90 degrees. if people wanna go for realism they would still be able to, but simply hardlocking everyone behind a limitation, especially in this aspect of the game, in my opinion makes no sense at all. i think frontier once again was just lazy to implement such a feature, just like all the flatrides which you cant change the height. i dont think they did it for the reason you mentioned tbh

i think it wouldnt hurt anyone to ask frontier to change this. make this part of a water rides overhaul in general :) the track to water canal pieces are absolutely criminal there and render some layouts totally unusable.

Of course, if you want to build a kid's coaster with a B&M Giga this is ok and there is indeed a fine line between realism and creativity, but there always be limitations, i would love to have vekoma flying coaster, but as long as the coaster is not in game it is limited. (same goes for your beloved stryker btw :p)

I wouldnt mind if you could make it smaller, but as i said above ride planing, ride restrictions and so on are limits for the creativity, since you can get creative when you are limited....and removing all limits from all the rides would take a lot from the game as it is. Since the many coaster types, even if the game misses a lot, are a strong suit of the game and it would take a lot from my experience, if i couldnt figure what coaster to place, sometimes i just have a rough idea what i want to place and the actual limitations deceide at the end which coaster i pick.

So in that case, we have the curved lift which is probably the reason we dont have heights, it would be nice to have custom heights, but at the end it is still ok for me as it is somewhat realistic cause this specific coaster is actually that tall.

divertical: 50m
splash: 40m
typhoon coaster: 40m

so yes, while speed is the exact height of the model we have ingame, all other rides of this model have different heights. not trying to deny your point of view, but still i think that asking for a change with this is still very much valid :) as you see, to make the other models "realistic" we should be getting the option to change height with these rides.
i mean we already had that too with the tower flatrides in planco 1, but this also is completely lacking in 2. i think frontiers idea wasnt to go for realism for that one ride layout that is splash. probably just again, total lazyness or just not playing their own game to realise "oh wait a moment, what if our community wants to make their own custom thing".

i realy dont see how removing all limitations on these rides would hurt the game or "take a lot" from the game as you said. theres literally an option for track limitations, just atm its implemented in a horrible way.
i mean lets be honest here, wouldnt hurt anyone to just implement this no? people can still aim for 60m height if they want to :)

Yep, adding flexibility to these rides, having custom heights for the lift etc. does not take away anything from someone who wants to build a realistic (in their mind) ride. It would just include more creativity and make more players use the specific ride types. Outamax is sparsely used at best from what I can tell (lacking in blueprints (although who the h*ll knows how many there are in the workshop as it is impossible to find anything there...), and YouTube videos etc.) and I bet the locked lift height is one reason for this.

All all these stupid and random limitations do is to irritate the community and stifle creativity and thus the fun in playing the game.

Speaking of this coaster, is there a plan to fix these bugs?

Water splash when entering the station.

There should be no water splash effects in the station. There is no water near this location.

Scenery attached to the coaster car does not stick to the car in turns. It floats on its own based on some other coaster car model.

Seems like they never tested to attach scenery to this coaster model. The front car is working as it should, the rear one, not so much.
