General / Off-Topic Outer Mongolia vs Inner Mongolia

I hear a lot about outer mongolia, but not much about inner mongolia.

I'm sure there must be quite a few disgruntled inner mongolians who feel their region is not given enough respect so I have created this thread for any inner mongolians to vent their frustrations.

Never let it be said that I don't start up useful threads.

I'm from inner Mongolia and so is my wife.

I find this thread a useful outlet to vent our many frustrations with those glory hunting Outies.

We have our own tree and two goats. Outer Mongolia has no tree.

As Outer Mongolia is a proper country, shouldn't it just be called Mongolia? Inner Mongolia is a mere province by comparison. :D

In the mid-1990s, a European scholar on Mongolia, whose name I cannot remember, predicted that China would occupy the country within the next 20 years. Mongolia was a part of the Qing empire, just like Tibet, so it would be parallel, and China would find some pretext about preserving security, promoting development, or something. It hasn't happened yet, and it seems even the Russians can't be bothered. Just wait until Mongolia finds oil. :p

Long may this thread prosper...
