Outfitting database

i'd also be interested in something like this, i'd help if i can as well
right now the way to find part is basically "rotate galaxy map randomly and where it stops go to and see what they have"

Same! This would also take away some of the exploration, though. But any game as big as this will certainly have internet informations.

I don´t think that this will help ...
AFAIK there is a large degree of randomness involved on whether a certain piece of equipment is currently in stock or not.
So you might encounter some modules at time x, but not as time y

I swear to god I saw a power plant upgrade today but did not buy it, I dont remember where but I always cycle the same systems around Yakubugai / Potriti

I now need it and visited all the system around I could think of I have been today with no success

Damn me and my not taking a note

The only that remains is in LH 3447 but Dalton Gateway is 100,000 Ls from the jump exit and I just can't deal with it at the moment

I don't think that once they spawn they are random because the ports I cycle have always the same stuff..and I cycle them a lot..

oh well that much is known but a way to see what is possible to be spawn at what station would be an immense help (consequently that would also provide an inherent balancing mechanism so people could go and grab all the best gear when they had the money)

They seem to have reduced this, at least in the systems I've frequented the only randomness involved is whether the modules they stock are available at the time.
For an example Brangal always had power distributors and shield cell banks in stock, sometimes only D/C and sometimes everything up to A ...

Edit:
As for the OP, I don't think it's worth the effort unless there's some area with heavy player concentration ... I can find any equipment within 50ly so travelling 100+ simply because someone saw some component in stock seems kinda useless.
