Outfitting Menu and crafting upgrades

I understand why FD is changing the outfitting menu in the main game to a "CQC" outfitting style. I have to say that I do not like the look of it, the simplicity of how it is now is perfect and does not need improving on. I understand that those gamers that require VR goggles to play ED have to have the graphics easier for them to use. Is it possible that the menu style can be optional when you select the nonVR or VR version of ED at the start up menu?

Crafting in space year 3300- should not resemble crafting in Everquest. Unless, I can build up my engineering skill to master level where my crafting would not produce a "fail" or would not guarantee a successful secondary effect. It is the future and space, technology should not be one part ingredients and two parts....luck? Unless there is a skill tree. I love playing the game and aside from a few glitches and bugs these are my only issues with the upcoming 2.1 update. Thanks for listening and I look forward to the beta.
