I have this problem now. I'm at Yebon trying to help with the community goal. I cannot buy anything for my hauler in outfitting and get the message "could not connect to server". Then I have to go back to station service menu. I don't have a problem purchasing other ships.

Damnit. This probably won't be fixed until tomorrow now I guess 
With 1.1. ships are now impossible to upgrade. Way to go FD rendering your already only half-finished game unplayable with your first significant update. Way to stick it to the customers and backers still waiting for their rewards WOOT WOOT!
