Outlaws not Griefers

If a player kills you without asking for your loot they are not a griefer but an outlaw.

And if they hacked the client so that they never deplete weapons load or shields? What do you call those. Park at George Lucas and then come back with your theory. I can't post what i call them.

I must have gotten lucky. I've been in and out of George Lucas several times in the past three days without incident.

Griefers are bad boys that are too cowardly to be bad in RL, because there are consequences, so they do it in games because they're anonymous, hiding behind a computer screen.

deep....

but I do wonder about the psyche of someone who gets their kicks for trying to ruin someone else's game. It was always the big show stopper for me in EvE. Its a fantastic game played by complete bags.

This. It's pretty much the reason why I left Eve a few years ago. Keep thinking to go back, but every time I check out their forums and whatnot, I end up not re-subbing.

Umm... no... If someone does this, they are called serial killers or mass murderers. Their punishment should be severe - cancellation of ship insurance and a hefty bounty, for example.

God damn kids! I hate them, because they are annoying and i can't shove them over the internet.

That's why i don't play in open mode when i'm in popular zones.

I already wondered where the term came from. I always want to be a here in games because I can't be one in real life :) I always felt a bit ashamed for that. But I guess the shame is not on me :)

Oh look... an "outlaw"...

So I guess outlaws get free insurance when someone kills them too
And if they ever tire of being outlaws they can just pay some money and loose that status

Had a lovely incident with a chap the other day ... Noticed some commanders in the system as triangles (hard points out) so started to do a loop in order to avoid interdiction ... long story short ended up going round and round with them following. After a quick PM saying "we could do this all day" I recieved a voip-chat request ... "I am going to kill you" he told me ... "If you're trying to interdict me I will still kill you" ... Made me smile :)

So yeah - lots of people playing an outlaw for sure ... love it :)

There is a difference for sure but I got rammed by a greifer yesterday in a side winder, cost me 156,000 cr to repair. He died, he came at me 2x so it was no accident. And because he was close to the station I could not kill him prior to he attack. I can understand why many play in solo
