Outpust Shop Museum

Outpost Ship Museum

I was at an outpost yesterday, and it had what appears to be a ship museum. Anyone seen this?

In a glassed in area there are a number of Eagles, and a couple Cobras and Anacondas, all appear to be on display bases with curved, multi-level walkways, potted plants, and a viewing area.

The LOD on the ships is much less than the real ships. Still it was a surprise to see. Too bad I can't actually go in the museum. I found this in Beta 2.3 but I think it is in the main game.

Edit: speeling in title.

That would be a commercial outpost. It's like a ship dealership and that's the showroom. I agree that it would be cool to be able to go inside. I have to admit that I didn't notice them at first either.

Edit: OutPOST in the title...

Edit: Ship not Shop. Jeez.

Good find, I certainly never noticed..

Cheers Cmdr's

Yea its been in the game since the very early days.

Still cool that people can play for hours and still find something new.

The weird thing is, these outposts with ship showrooms usually don't actually sell any ships, since they usually don't have a shipyard. And if they do, the ships you can see through the window are not the same ships that they actually sell.

It's like, you go in to buy one of their ships, and they say "No ships for you."

Yea, that's why I thought museum - no shipyard here. Or a private collection as Whiteball suggests.

Back in the ED Horizons competition days i strung this video together but never used it (comp rules were tight and not enough time):

Either those Eagles are scaled down models or those potted trees are ENORMOUS and those benches are about 40m long and 2m deep.

Post title change.

Also I 'think' you can edit your post title in advanced mode.

Unfortunately not (testing now).

[edit post title]

I stand corrected.
Wow! The things you learn.

Jeeze I wish I'd known that a few months ago when I got cross and bowled one last the profanity filter in the post title. I regretted it about thirty seconds later, and couldn't figure out how to fix it.

This diplomat forgot to keep it classy and the consequences weren't good.

Also on the topic of profanity filter - I love that "No ships for you!" is a Seinfield reference that you can't mention because of the filter. (I made a nice borscht tonight)

I thought I corrected the title last night, thanks to the brilliant and informed Saool, but it still appears incorrect on my mobile.
