Out beyond Maia I know there are no more outpost but can you still find things on planets such as shipwrecks or was the alien crash site just a one time thing?

You can still find small caches, crashed ships, tiny bases for a bit longer i think, but eventually in deep space there isn't much to be found. The odd crashed ship, escape pods, things that theoretically might be found.
At least they stopped crashed nav beacons appearing in remote systems. That was pretty silly.
