Outward the fantasy life simulator?

Just noticed this thread...I picked this up at the weekend. Lost a good few hours with a good mate getting killed in a variety of ways, being captured by bandits and having my gear (including my boots) nicked or waking up in a Hyena cave bleeding...

Loving it so far :)

It looks interesting. Or it did. Until he showed hunger/thirst and other "survival" nonsense. I'm done with these types of games. Constantly watching meters and being a babysitter isn't my kind of gameplay. All of this would only be a distraction from an actual game.

From what I've seen it is not a constant upkeep like in normal survival games. You do get hungry/thirsty, but you only need to care for that every hour or so. Which doesn't sound too bad, I mean Ultima Underworld had a similar system :)

It's not that bad to be honest...I like the crafting system where you can create different foods and potions once you find the recipes.... You occasionally see the little icon informing you you're hungry or thirsty. Mostly that entails opening up your inventory and scoffing some beef stew you've made earlier and drinking some water from your water skin... but mostly the food and water intake is to help you heal or regain stamina if you're wounded or been involved in a fight...
