Overdue Coaster Types

1. Schwarzkopf Looping Coaster/ Shuttle Loop: This is the main one that should have been in the game from the get-go. You cannot deny that Schwarzkopf has earned itself its place in coaster history. They were responsible for the first modern looping coaster!

2. MACK LSM Coaster: This is a pretty modern coaster type that we're seeing popping up all over the world. The United States is supposedly going to get one next year and I think this would be a fantastic addition to Planet Coaster's collection of modern coasters.

3. Intamin Blitz Coaster: I know we technically have the ability to make an Intamin Blitz by combining Barghest track with Zenith trains, however the five car limitation tends to cut down on the realism aspect.

4. Vintage Premier LIM coaster: I know we have Torque as a way to make modern Premier launched coasters, but the modern trains really cut down on the realism if you're trying to make a vintage LIM launched coaster like Joker's Jinx. Doesn't help that you can't even switch it with the Invincible Intamin Hypercoaster trains.

5. TOGO Standup: This isn't a very well loved attraction, but you cannot deny that if you're going for a sort of mid-80s motif with your parks, TOGO Standups were getting kind of popular around that time.

Yes! So many people are asking for these rides for such a long time now. It´s one of my biggest complains about a game called Planet Coaster as well.
I still remember to this day, when I first saw the original RCT being demoed on a TV-Set in my local electronics shop. I couldn´t believe my eyes that this game existed AND that they actually had depictions of the classic Schwarzkopf coasters AND also the Arrow trains with different track-style.
This was definitely one of the reasons why RCT was so popular with so many different demographics of players.

Now Planco is doing a great job with recreating the visuals (not always the function) of realistic coasters. But that´s why the total lack of Schwarzkopf (including the WIld Cat and the Jumbo Jet/Speedracer trains (spiral lift!) is so jarring. It definitely takes away a big aspect of enjoyment and realism that was so tantamount for many players of RCT.

I really want to see B. A. Schiff's Wild Mouse in this game with steel track and wooden supports. if Frontier would used this and recreated that coaster, that will be awesome. [big grin]

OP has pretty much nailed my wish list on coasters. Heck I would even take them adding an Intamin Blitz train and using it to just swap on the euro fighter track at this point

I agree, there's a severe lack of coaster variety in Planet Coaster. I feel like they're trying to reinvent the wheel when they don't really have to. The Corkscrew Coaster in the game is referred to as Looping Coaster which is odd because that coaster type historically is referred to as the Corkscrew Coaster. The RCT series (minus RCTW) really set the bar with coaster simulation and Planet Coaster has yet to catch up to it. RCT2 allowed different colored cars and trains, multiple stations and had a realistically working block system (a game that's ~16 years old).

The entire Coaster aspect of the game needs an overhaul, the community has been very vocal about potential fixes and tweaks to the coaster aspect of the game, but Frontier chooses to focus on scenery DLC. It's Planet Scenery featuring roller coasters. This goes back all the way to the Alpha stage. As soon as the Scenery Building was fully implemented, the rest of the game took a backseat, management, performance, coasters, core features, all are severely lacking. We can only hope that Frontier makes changes for the better in the future.
