Engineers Overheat countering on its... own?

So i just got my Anaconda after starting to play the game few months before its release.
I outfitted it from my mere 200 mill and got two size 5 Hull Reinforcement Packs in it ... for no real reason... Today i deployed a shield cell bank without any heat sinks remaining in combat, and out of nowhere loud banging noise at around 120-140% overheat and the heat just dropped few percent/ bang... i did get cooled down rather fast to normal temperatures and frankly i don't know if its the Conda or the HRP doing so... had anyone noticed this before? (my first post on the forum yay )

i am just wondering if its the anaconda in itself, as my imp courier took almost a minute to cool by itself from 180% to normal... i don't know anymore :d

I don't see anything out of the ordinary, your shield cell stop generating heat the moment it starts healing your shields so your heat will naturally decrease at this point. Do you have an A rated power plant ? The better your power plant rating, the faster you'll lose heat.

Yup as above it'll be worse if your boosting or firing or under fire but it will cool down by itself if you leave it
