Overly enthusiastic security

So, has anyone else been finding themselves getting rammed by security forces coming in a little too hot when scanning you? i swear since horizons launched its happend 4-5 times, and all the offenders have been in Vipers.

Even got a fine for one incident because i had just entered the no fire zone and hadn't throttled down yet. :|

It isn't just police, the pirates do it too. I'd get all worked up but I've run into my fair share of NPCs on accident as I went in and misjudged my speed. I actually find it funny (even when I'm already in a dogfight with someone and it costs me some shields), I don't really know why, it just makes me laugh when I hear "scan detected" and then crash!

Its anyone who scans you can possible ram you. Had a couple blow up at a nav beacon when they rammed my python.Luckily the whole wanted thing doesn't seem to happen if they ram you when you are not moving.
You can actually see if they are wanted if they hit you. Most times its security or wanted npcs hitting you.

Because you are imagining the pilot in his little cockpit going 'scan! scanscanscanscanscanscanscanscanscanscanscanscanscanscan!' :p

Constantly. When I hear "scan detected" I boost away now because else they ram me every time. Its cost me a ship rebuy already. Stupid bug since 1.5

I'm getting rammed by enemies in general, not just Security Forces.

Had an Anaconda in a HRES ram me TWICE last night. He didn't fire once in the time it took be to bring him down, but twice he lined up and came at me full speed with success. The remainder of time, I stuck to his aft to counter his obvious tactics.

Not that I've ever done that.....;)

+1

I even got rammed by an system authority ship just outside a RES while mining in my Clipper:

Scan Detected

WHAM!

You're clear to proceed pilot with 20% shield damage. Have a nice day.

Yup, its happening everywhere, stations, Nav Beacons etc. All the NPC's are doing it.

Really rubbish to have them ramming you and taking your shields down just a s your target appears in the vicinity.

I mentioned previously I was authority-rammed in a RES - in the same RES I was also rammed by a NPC Pirate in an Asp Scout within seconds of me beginning to collect some gold, "I want what you have!!".

Fair play to him, he knocked out most of my shields. I've just added a booster to my Clipper because of that incident. I can understand a NPC Pirate using ramming tactics but the police? What happened to protect and serve because they done neither since 1.5.

The law has always been there. Now they're starting to enforce it. Do not go speeding in the no fly zone. You can often get away with it if you're vigilant, but as soon as you bring up a panel for docking or navigation so that you can't see what's happening, one will charge at you. They also do it after a big battle. Slow right down before bringing the panel up to see who's the next target, otherwise you hear the roar of an engine, then a bang as they hit you. I'm sure these are disruptive features built in the game to stop you doing routine activities. The bounties you incur prevent you from going back to your favourite station or hunting ground.
