Hi all, I'm trying to get E.D. to work through my Oculus Rift with no luck. I've got the display as secondary and changed the 3D experimental to O.R. headphones but I can't find out where to check if my OVR server is running. Does anyone know how to check this? Even Google is struggling!

Have you set the rift display mode to extended mode in the oculus config utility?
I have a similar question, some people have said they have E: D running in direct mode, what settings or tweaks do I need to get that to work? I can't get E: D to change output from the primary monitor when the Rift is set to Direct, and I'd prefer to run direct if possible.
Yes I changed this before I started trying to run Elite Dangerous. I have run it before through the Rift but not for a while since I've been busy with exams. There's been a few upgrades since last it ran and I've loaded those too.
Ok, I figured it out. You go yo the Oculus Configuration Utility (the same window where you choose your Rift Display Mode) and choose Tools, Service then Restart. Simple when you know how!
Forget about Direct Mode. Even if you can get it working its nowhere near as good as Extended. Direct Mode even pops up with a message in game from Frontier advising you not to use it. They are currently working with Oculus to get the mode optimised.
