Were the Ship textures increased in resolution in Alpha 4.x over what we see in Alpha 1.1 on the Prem Beta? I find that looking over the nose from inside (TrackIR) the ship hull textures are really low res.

I shall give up assuming then. I don't want to get too overexcited beforehand when PB is released tomorrow, since some of the footage I've seen has already whetted my appetite :eek:

Depends what you mean by latter stages. The full galaxy almost certainly won't be available early on while FD are still trying to nail down the networking and instancing code. But once that particular 'issue' is suitably dealt with there is the hyperdrive/FSD/normal space fuel thing to sort out. Until that's done and ready for release into the Beta set then it's safe to assume the number of stars available will be limited.

Can't say for certain especially as it's been a long time since I played 1.1, but my feeling is that they improved a lot.

I think there will be more things in beta premium. More spaceships, weapons, missions, stellar systems, space stations. And the new bugs. Otherwise, what is the utility of a premium beta ?

I think first test how current build/code holds hordes of new players. If sky isn´t falling, then add new things. :)

I'n not sure if there will be new Spaceships, weapons or missions at this early stage of the premium beta. It would be nice but I don't think it will be happening. I think there is a reasonable chance that there will be some new systems to visit and space stations but that will simply be to accommodate the increased number of people that will be playing.

Personally I am happy to be killed by anyone who forked over a wodge of cash to help ensure I get to enjoy this game for a long time to come :)

Perhaps one or two new spaceship. And the same thing for the weapons etc ... Let us pray the God of the galaxy for his great generosity
