The ports the game uses would probably be targeted, not just random ports so your firewall presumably would have issues there, weaknesses in the client itself may be exploited. It would be quite difficult to tell the difference between a legit connection and not depending on the type of attack and subtlety of the attacker.
Also anyone with half a clue would be targeting you through a previously compromised machine, maybe a chain of them, so "turning someone in" isn't as obviously easy as it first sounds.
