Newcomer / Intro Pack-hound Missiles

Hello, I am in a bit of a conundrum. In order to get this missile rack, I had to be aligned with a particular power for 4 weeks (done), get 750 merit points at the that time (done) but I cannot find where I actually get this missile rack. I went to the power page, went to outfitting, checked my stash, but nothing. Help!

You have to actually buy them still, in case that wasn't clear. Buy as many as you think you'll need because you can't after you defect.

1) Check your power status (somewhere in your right hand panel - can't be more specific, it's been a long time). Are you actually at rating 3?
2) Same place - have you been pledged for four weeks?

If you can answer "yes" to both from actual in-game data, then go to an outfitter at a control system of your power. You should be able to find them there, provided your ship has the hardpoints to fit them.

Exactly... And if your ship doesnt have the hardpoints, buy a ship that has them when you get to the place... Also, if packhounds come in multiple sizes, buy a ship that has all sizes and store a couple of them for later use, if you plan to defect... Because you will not be able to buy them after you defect, or your status decreases back below the threshold...

And in storage they will stay after you had a few rounds of spamming fun with them and figure out they aren't that effective.

I guess that is a good point... But in case the OP wants to have fun with them on multiple ships, while also defecting to another power, the recommendation to buy multiple at once is a good one... :)

Until you run into storage space issues buying modules is never a bad thing, after all as long as you don't leave them on a ship when you sell it you always get back the credits you paid for them.

Wait whe what?!?! You mean when we sell ships, the modules on the ship are tossed for nothing? Its not part of the sell price?

I been robbed!!!

No when you sell a ship, it and the modules only make 90% or 95% (I forget which right now) of the purchase price, modules sold separately make 100%. This why when you sell a ship you should sell or remove all non core modules and replace the core modules with the smallest E rated modules that you can fit as they are cheapest so you lose least money.

If you have been with the power for four weeks, and have achieved rank 3, you should have access to the Powerplay specific weapon.

Now, if you didn’t have 750 merits before the end of the Powerplay cycle, but got them afterwards, you will have to wait until next week.

Powerplay weapons, when unlocked, are available at any station offering outfitting as far as I remember.

I see, thanks. Well, 90% of the purchase price is pretty good. You mean modules when bought and sold, dont lose any value! I never compared the prices but I never thought that selling used crap would fetch full price!

That explains the worn out/scuffed interior of my 'brand new' Krait 2 and T10......

Hey Op, did you resolve this?
As others have said, make sure you are at tier 3 with the power.
When you make your 750 merits, you have to wait until Thursday for them to tick over, and your tier will increase accordingly.
Only then can you purchase the missiles...

It stops people buying modules at a discount warehouse and selling them elsewhere for a profit and vice versa and losing money, it also lets us try stuff out.

Understand, but for some reason I thought that was addressed by having the modules being sold at half list price. Must be some brain fart leftover from some other game of mine...

Yea, the station I was parked at didnt sell them. I just had to jump to a different system close by and they sold them. So, yea, I panicked after jumping through those hoops to get them and didnt see them at that station. Thanks to everyone for your help.
