Painite is a Pain

And Arsenic is an     . I cant find any after hours of planet hopping and material collecting. Any known locations folks?

Painite is usually found when mining in pristine mettalic rings if memory serves correct. I'm sure one of our resident rock movers can confirm ;)

I found quite a lot of Painite in Bhaga. Can't remember which planet it was, but look for the pristine metallic ring there.

I'm pretty sure Painite can be found in metallic rings and maybe even in metal rich rings of any kind (except maybe depleted reserves). You just get much better yields with pristine metallic rings.

I regularly collect Painate in large quantities in HIP 21991. It's Empire space. if you have a wing of 4 with prospectors we can scan massive areas quickly and be very selective in your mining efforts. With a 192 cargo space I got 50 tons of Panite and the rest made up of Platinum and Palladium. 3-5 mil at a time.

As above, pristine metallic rings have painite, it may take an hour or so of hitting asteroids before you have a few tonnes.

Arsenic is harder, keep looking on rocky metal rich planets - look for mesodorites, or metallic meteors - they seem to have the best probability of rare materials.

*Also* check the mission boards. Arsenic is sometimes given as a material reward - I got some last night by completing a simple delivery mission :)

I'm not after Painite lol, i can mine that easily, it was just a play on words based on a mission you can get. Arsenic is what i need.

Thanks Kenneth, i'll check there.

look for mesodorites, or metallic meteors, its not a common material but you'll find enough with some time prospecting there

Junga 5 has Arsenic. It also has Germanium and Vanadium to make Basic FSD Injection. It also has Yttrium, but that is very rare.

I need Arsenic, so will head to Deciat 7b on my next session too. I'm just not very good at using the scanner. Do I just drive in the direction of the barely visible blobs on it? And is it correct to drive for quite a while before you find it? I feel like I drove miles without finding anything last time I tried.

Arsenic is also present in the inner ring of Deciat 7 itself but only appears after a lot of mining of medium or high material content asteroids. Maybe 1 bit of it after 4 or 5 asteroids (at least that was my experience last night).

Spot on with Deciat 7B mate, i found my Arsenic along with some Yttrium & Germainium. will bookmark thet planet. cheers.

I tend to listen to the different sounds, there are three types i think, a scraping sound, a bip sound and a crackle sound. From my experience the crackle is outcrops with common materials, the scrape sound is meterorites, and the bip is crash landings, mining sites etc.
