I struck the Painite Motherlode yesterday.

This is the best roid I have seen for nearly two years. I did see one slightly better once, but the game crashed so it doesn't count.

I got 12 tons of painite of this roid.


Has anyone got any proof of better roids than this?

Recently I hit a 42% Panite rock. I don't do much mining so it must have been beginners luck.

One question I have is regarding the material content level. I'm assuming that refers to Engineering materials? So if I hit a high percentage Panite rock with high materials content will I get less Panite as a result or does the rock chuck out more fragments to include the extra materials?

I have a painite rock about 3km from the center of a HazRes in... 31 Cephi, maybe? (It's Sunday morning, I'm in bed)

Less % content, but I'll get around 30 tons from it. You know, given the combat conditions.

'Bout a year ago I was findin' 'roids like that, and yeah getting about 10/12 tons out of 'em.

However, I went back to mining again last night for the first time since then, and got through about 200 asteroids before I found *any* of the coveted P. Did manage to get 29 tons on last night's trip, but I was usually getting about 60 before.

Prolly been nerfed, I dunno, seems a lot rarer now than it was. Maybe I just had bad RNG last night [where is it]

Wow. I've had some Platinum roids with >50% yield, but this is cool. Truly one in a million.
Dangit now I want to mine something. I will have to cut my current explo mission short and come back to shoot some rocks. Hmm.. I might have a mining T6 in Colonia, now that I think about it.

The materials are extra fragments, so don't reduce the yield.

Nice! I didn't get quite this today, but was able to fill half my Cobra's hold with platinum. Very nice payout at the market.

I have found enough in the last 2 days to know 10t for Selene will not be an issue but 12t out of 2 roids is the best I got in one sitting.

It certainly makes a big difference to my mining profit in the meantime
