Painite, Platinum, and Bromellite Cores should have Subsurface Deposits inside, instead of surface deposits

These cores are (almost) universally ignored, because they have much lower values compared to the better cores. Monazite might give you 750k/ton and gives you 15 tons per core, while Painite gives you maybe 250k/ton, but gives you the same 15 tons per core.

What if these lower-grade cores had Subsurface deposits inside, instead of surface deposits? It wouldn't even need to be 100%, it could just be a 50/50 shot on each deposit of being a subsurface deposit.

Subsurface deposits are largely ignored, so this could be a cool way to make them AND these cores more relevant. A single core with all subsurface deposits inside would yield more like 30-40 tons per core, which would be much more viable than how it currently is, and could make them more fun, especially if you've got, say, an Industrial economy but only Metal Rich rings!

Better overall, IMO. Thoughts?

Interesting idea but I suspect trying to line up that tricky shot on a subsurface deposit inside the split core would be a significant problem.

More importantly is why should everything always pay the best some things should be less worthwhile or the whole thing is even more dull.

It would be more interesting if the what was most valuable changed more often.

I'd be fine with that. It's okay for it to be tricky, that'd be better than the annoyance of trying to find Monazite and finding Painite instead.

It's just annoying right now that basically all you do is core mining for the good stuff in metal rich rings, and plat in metallic rings, and barely anything else. Adding some subsurface stuff too could make that a lot more viable!

When I've mined Bromellite core asteroid in the past, I laser mine it, then hit the subsurface deposits and then blow it up for the rest. I've often gotten about 25 tonnes from one asteroid.
